My wife Laurie and I love Door County.  It reminds us of upstate New York, where we both grew up.  When we lived in the Chicago area, we often heard people talk about the beauty of Door County, but never had the chance to visit it ourselves.  Once we moved to Green Bay, we started visiting Door County on a regular basis and fell in love with the area.  We now have a cottage on Kangaroo Lake and get up to Door County every chance we get.  There is something for everyone in Door County — fine restaurants, theater, state parks, golf, swimming — and it is an easy trip from the Green Bay area.

We’ve found that Door County is one of the true jewels of Wisconsin.
